Installation: The surface on which the machine is installed shall be flat, stable and not slippery. Electrical Connection: Compare the date shown on the nameplate with the electrical power mains voltage. In case they do not coincide, do not plug in the machine. Use of the Machine: ¨ Pull the carriage rearward to the leading position. ¨ Swing LSD away ¨ Put the product against the food chute fence and bring it slowly in contact with the gauge plate ¨ Lock the product with LSD ¨ Adjust slice thickness ¨ Switch the machine on ¨ To slice, move the carriage back and forth by means of its handle Slicing of Short Products: Warning: Cut hazard. Positively do not use your hands to push short products toward the knife, but carefully follow the procedure described hereafter. ¨ Pull the carriage rearward to the loading position ¨ Swing LSD away ¨ Put the product against the food chute fence and push it against the gauge plate ¨ Lock the product with LSD place behind it ¨ Adjust slice thickness ¨ Switch the machine on ¨ To slice the product, grasp the LSD’s handle and move the carriage back and forth After Slicing: ¨ Switch the machine off ¨ Unplug the machine ¨ Turn dial knob to “0” position Dismantling for Cleaning: ¨ Never touch the knife. Always keep your hand and fingers clear of knife ¨ Turn off slicer and disconnect electrical cord before cleaning ¨ Turn dial knob to full closed position (0) so that the knife is not exposed Removal of Food Chute ¨ Pull the carriage backward ¨ Loosen the carriage retaining knob ¨ Pull the food chute upward to remove it Removal of Knife Guard ¨ Unscrew the thread that locks the knife guard. Push the long stud upward to lift knife guard above surface of knife ¨ Grasp the knife guard and remove the guard from the machine Removal of Sharpener Assembly ¨ Loosen the knob that locks the sharpener ¨ Pull the sharpener out of its support and move it away from the machine Removal of the Deflector ¨ Loosen the knobs that secure the deflector and remove it from the machine |
